Several media organisations across Ireland and the UK have received bomb threats this morning (Friday, 6 November).
In Ireland, the broadcasters and newspapers said to be affected are Bauer Media (which controls Newstalk and Today FM), the Irish Independent, RTÉ, and Virgin Media.
The specific UK media organisations impacted have not yet been named in reports, however, as this is a breaking news story, further updates are expected soon.
According to various reports, the staff at these media organisations' buildings had to be evacuated after the threats were received via email.
This comes after several bomb threats made against airlines in recent days.
JOE has reached out to An Garda Síochána for a statement.
