Well played, Gary.
Gary Lineker had a squeaky clean reputation as a player and he has one as a presenter as well, but there’s one incident from his career that he’s never allowed forget about.
During the 1990 World Cup, against Ireland no less, Lineker admitted to having a sh*t on the pitch during the game and it’s something he’s reminded about almost daily, or at least after every tweet he sends.
Lineker, probably Leicester City’s most well-known fan, is a little nervous ahead of the Foxes clash with Southampton today and had no problem taking the piss out of what wasn’t exactly his finest hour to describe his mood shortly before kick-off.

Best bring some extra toilet roll just in case, Gary, especially with what fans are being treated to at the game today.

Some folk involved with Leicester City, meanwhile, aren’t quite as nervous as Gary is, judging by these slightly premature scarves on sale near the King Power Stadium this afternoon.
