MTV has suspended the production of Catfish following sexual misconduct allegations against host, Nev Schulman

As details on the reported conduct emerge, a spokesperson has released a statement to The Daily Beast saying:

“We take these allegations very seriously. We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation and we’ve put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.”

In a video posted May 12 on YouTube, Ayissha Morgan, who appeared on the show in 2015, alleges that she was sexually harassed by Schulman throughout the production. Morgan then released a second video claiming that one of the production assistants got her drunk before Schulman invited her into his room and “propositioned her”.

Schulman’s publicist has also released a statement direct from Nev Schulman, denying all charges saying:

“The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions—but these claims are false.”

Nev is married to Laura Perlongo, who he shares one child with, 17-month-old Cleo James. Nev’s wife has not yet made a comment on these allegations.
