Meghan Markle made formal complaint to ITV over Piers Morgan’s comments

Markle, along with 41,000 viewers, lodged a formal complaint over the former Good Morning Britain host

According to several sources, it has become apparent that Meghan Markle did respond to Morgan’s early morning rant by submitting a formal complaint to ITV.

She wasn’t alone of course: Ofcom was flooded with thousands of complaints from viewers at home, so much so that it prompted GMB to propose a public apology live on air.

Unsurprisingly, Piers refused and, quite literally, walked off the show. His colleague Alex Beresford voiced similar distaste for his comments live on air, causing the 55-year-old to storm off set and ushering in what can only be described as one of the memes of the month.

It is believed that as opposed to the more personal aspect of Piers’ diatribe, Markle’s chief complaints were directed towards him refuting her allegations of racist remarks being made within the Palace, as well as denying claims regarding her mental health.

Her complaint was verified by ITV’s own Royal Editor, Chris Ship, who aside from noting that the complaint had been passed on to the ITV CEO, also reiterated that Markle was primarily concerned with “how Piers Morgan’s words affect the issue of mental health and what it might do to others contemplating suicide”.
