Mark Zuckerberg has been forced to delay his upcoming MMA fight after undergoing surgery for an injury he sustained while training.
The Facebook founder has been anticipating a potential fight against Elon Musk, which is allegedly going to take place in 2024, but that could be off the cards due to the latest development.
Zuckerberg posted an update to his Instagram followers, saying: "Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me.
"I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that's delayed a bit.
"Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support."
Among the photos were Zuckerberg in his hospital bed, clenching his fists while another can see his wife Priscilla Chan wiping his forehead.
In anticipation of his potential bout against Musk, Zuckerberg has been training alongside MMA stars Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovsk.
Musk previously claimed that the fight between the two would be streamed live on X but Zuckerberg revealed that he'd proposed a fight date to the Tesla CEO but was yet to hear a response.
