Freddie Mercury's "secret" daughter Bibi has died aged 48 just months after going public.
Her death was revealed by her widower Thomas who confirmed the news in a statement.
The statement released to the Daily Mail read that she had died "peacefully after a long battle with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer, leaving two sons aged nine and seven".
It added: "B is now with her beloved and loving father in the world of thoughts. Her ashes were scattered to the wind over the Alps."
Bibi died after being diagnosed with a rare spinal cancer aged 48.
She had only revealed to the public a few months ago that she was supposedly the "secret" daughter of legendary signer and Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
The news was revealed by author Lesley-Ann Jones in her book Love, Freddie with Bibi previously being known as 'B'.
Jones also released a statement reacting to the news.
She said: "I am devastated by the loss of this woman who became my close friend, who had come to me with a selfless aim: to brush aside all those who have had free rein with Freddie’s story for 32 years, to challenge their lies and their rewriting of his life, and to deliver the truth."
Bibi claimed to be the daughter of the Queen icon who was alleged to have fathered a child with a friend's wife in a brief fling.
Mercury died in 1991, aged 45 following complications after being diagnosed with AIDs.
In May 2025, Bibi revealed she had taken a DNA test to confirm the truth behind the rumours.
After facing questions about the claims she made in her book, Jones released a statement on X.
It read: "To those 'demanding' to see proof of a DNA test, otherwise they won’t believe it, please rest assured that the requisite verification was obtained, legal teams have been involved, but that such measures are private & not shared publicly. Thank you.
Before the release of the book, Bibi also wrote a few lines.
She said at the time: "I didn’t want to share my Dad with the whole world.
"After his death, I had to learn to live with the attacks against him, the misrepresentations of him, and with the feeling that my Dad now belonged to everyone.
"I cried and mourned my Dad, while fans all around the world mourned Freddie. When you are 15 years old, it’s not easy. I had to become an adult without him, and live all the structuring moments and events without his support."
Despite these claims, many people close to Freddie Mercury denied that he had had any children.
Close friend and former fiancée, Mary Austin, denied any knowledge of any secret child's existence, despite Bibi claiming that some close friends were aware.
The 74-year-old said: ‘The truth is that I am simply not the guardian of such a secret.
‘I’ve never known of any child, or of any diaries. If Freddie had indeed had a child without me knowing anything about it, that would be astonishing to me.’
Jones' book also claimed that Mercury's bandmates were aware of Bibi's existence.
However, wife of Brian May, Anita Dobson told The Telegraph: "Why wait this long? Brian thinks it’s a load of rubbish.
"I knew Freddie really, really well, I was a good friend of his, and I think Brian would trust me with that knowledge."
