New footage has emerged online of a fan invading the pitch to get to Cristiano Ronaldo during Portugal's win against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday night.
Portugal were leading 4-0 at the time 39 minutes into the game when the fan ran onto the pitch and appeared to attack Ronaldo, who looked to be left slightly hurt from the incident as stewards quickly intervened and escorted the individual away.

Videos across social media soon went viral, leaving fans concerned however Ronaldo was able to carry on in his 203rd appearance for the country, scoring twice in the 5-0 win.
However, new footage of the 'attack', has revealed that the fan ran onto the pitch to try and get a selfie with the Al Nassr star but was unable to as security quickly got in the way.

His goals also mean that the 38-year-old has scored over 100 goals in the past three decades and followed up the celebrations from Portugal's 3-2 win against Slovakia to secure qualification for Euro 2024.
Ronaldo posted on Instagram: "We’re at EURO 2024! Very happy to help Portugal reach another final stage of a great competition. A special thanks to the Portuguese Football Federation and to the fans present at the stadium for the beautiful tribute."
