David Cameron was caught on microphone saying something nasty about Yorkshire (Video)

Oh bugger!

Politicians never learn.

If you’re microphoned up, never say anything derogatory about folk from the North of England.

Remember when former Labour Leader Gordon Brown fell foul of this when he was recorded talking about a “bigoted woman” after speaking to a constituent in Rochdale?

He thought he was safe getting into his car, but his microphone was still on.

Now Prime Minister David Cameron seems to have stepped in the same turd, so to speak. As he was warming up to speak about devolution in Leeds, he appeared to be caught saying something very unflattering about the locals.

“We just thought people in Yorkshire hated everyone else – we didn’t realise they hated each other so much,” seemed to be the words picked up on the microphone.

As sure as gravy is gravy, Yorkshire will not like that one bit.
