Conjoined twins Brittany and Abby Hensel break silence after ‘loud’ response to marriage news

JOE

“The internet is extra LOUD today.”

It was recently revealed that conjoined twin and reality TV star Abby Hensel is now married, and the star has now broken her silence following the internet’s ‘loud’ response to the news.

In documents obtained by Today earlier this week, it was confirmed that Abby married back in 2021.

She married army veteran and nurse Josh Bowling, and the pair live in Minnesota.

Speaking to TMZ, Josh said: “We wish to keep everything private and will not be doing any interviews.”

Abby and her sister Brittany first rose to fame after appearing on The Oprah Winfrey show back in 1996.

They later went on to have their own show, called Abby and Brittany, which chronicled their travels around Europe.

The sisters are dicephalus conjoined twins, which means they share a bloodstream and have the same organs from below the waist. Abby has control of the right side of the body, and Brittany the left.

News of Abby’s marriage to Josh was met with a lot of questions from the internet, but now Abby and Brittany appear to have responded to this via TikTok, The Mirror reports.

“We have always been around,” the new clip said, with images of statues of conjoined twins from history.

“The internet is extra LOUD today,” they added.

In a separate clip, the twins wrote over a selection of photos of them with Josh: “This is a message to all the haters out there. If you don’t like what I do but you watch everything I’m doing you’re still a fan.”

Born back in 1990, the duo’s parents decided against separation surgery after doctors said there was little chance they would both survive.

In a 2003 documentary, the Hensels opened up about their plans for their future, and that they want to have children.

“That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them,” their mum Patty said.

“Yeah, we’re going to be mums,” Brittany added. “We haven’t thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we’re just 16 — we don’t need to think about that right now.”
