Conjoined twins reveal one is asexual while the other has a boyfriend

A conjoined twin has found a love connection thanks to Hinge — even though her sister hasn’t been a very good “wingwoman”.

Carmen and Lupita Andrade, 22, are attached along their chest walls. They have two arms, but only a single leg each, with Carmen controlling the right leg, and Lupita managing the left.

But that hasn’t stopped Carmen from going it alone, romantically.

During an interview that recently resurfaced, from April, she revealed she had been dating a man for 18 months.

And, based on Instagram posts, the couple still seem very much together.

At first, Carmen said it was “really awkward.”

Something, no doubt, not helped by the fact Lupita has previously said she is “asexual and aromantic.”

“I was obviously going to be transparent about everything,” Carmen said about joining a new relationship.

“It was a learning process for everybody. We obviously had to have a discussion on what boundaries are OK and what aren’t.”

Carmen joked that Lupita is not a good wingwoman.

Lupita laughed that off though, saying she she makes “fun of” her sister and Dan.

In the interview, Carmen said she and Dan are not sexually intimate, rather their bond is more like a close friendship.

In an anniversary post Dan referred to Carmen as “mi amor (my love)” and said the pair were celebrating “one whole year of love and laughs”.

Since she is only in her early 20s, Carmen admitted she is not thinking about marriage too much.

However, Carmen admitted she would be more interested in a “life partner than actual marriage.”

Born in Mexico and raised in Connecticut, the twins have appeared on various TV shows, including on the TLC network.

They explained in the interview how they’ve been “fetishised” since they were 9 years old.

Carmen explained: “No. 1 is being conjoined and another thing is people’s idea of just having sex with two people at once,” Carmen shared.
