A bride was killed shortly after leaving her wedding reception as an alleged drunk driver drove into a golf cart carrying the newlywed couple.
Samantha Miller, 34, died hours after tying the knot with her husband, Aric Hutchinson.
A report from the coroner's office said that Miller died at the scene due to blunt force injuries. Hutchinson meanwhile remains in hospital with a brain injury, multiple broken bones and is in a critical condition.
The golf cart - which was fitted with a 'just married' sign - was thrown 100 yards and flipped several times after a car crashed into it. Police have said 25-year-old Jamie Lee Komoroski was driving.
Checks on the golf cart confirmed that it had lights and was legal to drive on the roads where the speed limit was 35mph or less, according to the authorities.
Komoroski has been charged with reckless vehicular homicide and three counts of driving under the influence causing great bodily harm.
Hutchinson's family meanwhile have set up a GoFund Me page so that the family are able to pay for her daughter-in-law's funeral and son's medical bills.
"I was handed Aric's wedding ring in a plastic bag at the hospital, five hours after Sam placed it on his finger and they read each other their vows," she said.
"Aric has lost the love of his life."
Two others were also injured in the incident, however the state of their condition is unknown.
