Ryanair cancels over 75 flights for Thursday due to French air traffic strike

This could have a huge impact on travel to Euro 16 too

Ryanair have been forced to cancel 75 flights that were scheduled to take place on Thursday and things could get even worse because the French air traffic control unions are planning four strikes in total throughout the coming week.

The 75 flights are both to/from and over France.

Customers are being advised to check with the airline in the coming days with regards to the specific flights that are being cancelled.

French ATC unions have announced that further strikes will be planned to not only affect tourists going on their summer holidays, but that any industrial action will be coordinated to directly target the European Championships that are being held in France between June 10 and July 10.

Ryanair has asked the European Commission to intervene on the strikes that are being undertaken by the French air-traffic control unions.  The airline has repeatedly called upon the European Commission to introduce measures which would alleviate the impact of such of ATC strikes on consumers.
