Rage Against The Machine have slept now in the fire for the last five years, having last played together in 2011.
Fans of the band are speculating that a comeback might be on the cards after they set up a new website last night by the name of www.prophetsofrage.com, which has since crashed.
The website carried a counter, which was counting down to June 1.
Posters bearing the name of the website have also started appearing around Los Angeles in California.
