Shetland pony breaks into pub, hits the booze, and is lured out using chips

Read that headline again: we've all been there, right?

Sometimes you're just gasping for a drink, and nothing will stop you from scratching that itch. Enter Mocha the Shetland pony, who is housed near the Ascot Arms pub in Kent, and decided he wasn't taking full advantage of living so near a watering hole. This is him.

The pub's owner, Mihaly Herczeg, told SWNS that Mocha drank out of some of the glasses while they tried to coax him out of the bar using carrots, chips and pork rinds. That being said, other media reports claiming that Mocha was drunk may have been over-stated.

“He managed to sneak in through the back door,"Herczeg said. "He just drinks water, but I reckon if he got the chance he would love beer and apple cider. “He is not a big drinker, but he does walk around like he’s a bit drunk. But he is very friendly and likes meeting new things and people.

By all accounts, the 12-year-old pony is a hit with the pub regulars, and has twice broken into the bar.
