Jägermeister - probably best known as the incredibly shotable uni-drink - is launching a cold brew that seems eerily familiar to our late caffeinated and boozy pal Patrón.

It was announced in early October that Cafe Patrón was being discontinued, with Chief Operating Officer Mauricio Vergara saying the company wanted to focus on its "core super and ultra-premium tequilas".

Jägermeister's website reads: "Inspired by the innovative, ever-changing drinks scene, we instinctively knew how a drop of Jägermeister and a backbeat of cold brew coffee could transform any night. The enviable result?

"A brand-new mix. JÄGERMEISTER COLD BREW COFFEE. A unique fusion of JÄGERMEISTER's 56 botanicals and intense cold brew coffee."

Sounds good, right?

They continued: "JÄGERMEISTER COLD BREW COFFEE is the perfect blend of our classic herbal liqueur with a generous helping of strong roasted Arabica coffee and a hint of chocolatey cacao. Distinctive aromatic spicy notes lead to a delicious, sweet and rich finish.

"Crafted exclusively with all-natural ingredients, every element comes together to create a taste of the unexpected."

In other Jägermeister news, the brand is bringing "caffeine-fuelled entertainment" to Manchester until Saturday (October 24). Partnering with Foundation Coffee House on Lever Street, shoppers can try speciality coffees, cop themselves a goody bag and taste this brand new coffee infused potion.

As the clock hits five (the universally recognised time for drinking), cocktails will be served which shoppers can enjoy while watching some in-venue entertainment.
