Experts reveal why ‘masturbation breaks’ can boost productivity at work

New research suggests half of Brits are partial to a bit of self-stimulation on company time

With motivation hard to come by in January, new research has extolled the benefits of 'masturbation breaks' at work which, supposedly, relieve stress and boost productivity. Sexual wellness brand www.lovehoney.com have got in certified sex educator Bobby Box to get some more insight as to why masturbation is beneficial and should be encouraged and how it can have a positive effect on productivity. "Masturbation boasts a host of benefits, both mental and physical", he said. "There are technically no harmful side effects of masturbation, though excessive masturbation may become an issue if it interferes with other areas of your life." Box adds: "Both research and anecdotal reports have found masturbation to be a fantastic stress reliever, which helps us sleep better, mitigate anxiety and depression, and put us in a better mood as it floods our bodies with feel-good hormones and neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKH9ECC_Qa4 A recent survey by Lovehoney has also found that 49 per cent of people admit masturbating on their company’s time while working from home, with 41 per cent saying they also now self-pleasure more due to the rise of remote work. When asked the reason behind them masturbating when they’re supposed to be working, the most widely selected answer was ‘feeling horny’, with 68 per cent of people saying this is the main motivating factor. ‘Stress relief’ and ‘knowing it’s risky’ come in second and third place with 61 per cent and 35 per cent respectively. It was found that the risk factor of masturbating during their company’s time was much more appealing to women than men, with almost two-in-five women (39 per cent) saying that’s the reason for their masturbation habits compared to 32 per cent of men. In addition to masturbating, the study revealed that almost half (47 per cent) of people also get down and dirty whilst working and have sex during their working hours.
