Elon Musk says he’s thinking of quitting his jobs

Elon Musk wants to quit his jobs

Please do

Elon Musk says he’s thinking about quitting his jobs – as in all of them. Do it. Now. Seriously.

Taking to Twitter – as he so often does when he looks to toy with share prices and the ever-volatile stock market – the 50-year-old not only tweeted that he was looking to quit his jobs but also become “an influencer full-time [what do you think?]”.

Ok, we take it back: if you’re going to be on Twitter even more than you already are, then we’re not sure we can hack it.

The South African-born SpaceX founder, Tesla CEO and Neuralink co-founder has a myriad of businesses in his portfolio and despite thinking we’re living in a simulation, has clearly gotten bored of being the richest man in the world.

In case you want an insight into what non-stop Musk memery on social media looks like, this is the very next thing he posted after that last tweet:

He’s been having plenty of fun on social media recently: going back and forth with a UN chief asking about how easy is it to end world hunger, to dumping Tesla stock simply based on whether people following him thinks he should do it.

This is the perfect kind of normal behaviour you want from a person who holds entire percentiles of the global economy and could change the world forever: pissing around on Twitter.

In fairness, if he is thinking of becoming an influencer, these are the sort of impulsive shenanigans people expect only turned up to 11 and they usually don’t have as big an impact in their 15 minutes of fame.
