The Queen will no longer attend the Remembrance Sunday service at the London Cenotaph as she has sprained her back.
Amidst instructions from doctors telling the monarch to rest, the BBC reports that Buckingham Palace says the Queen is "disappointed" to miss the annual event.
The Queen had previously stated that she had a "firm intention" of attending the service, having taken time away from her duties earlier last month.
In lieu of her absence, the Prince of Wales will lay a wreath for her. As in previous years, a wreath will be laid on Her Majesty's behalf by the Prince of Wales.
The Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Earl and Countess of Wessex and The Princess Royal will still all attend as planned.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: "The Queen, having sprained her back, has decided this morning with great regret that she will not be able to attend today's Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph.
"Her Majesty is disappointed that she will miss the service."
Though her Majesty has taken a step back from royal duties after instructions from her doctor, that doesn't mean she hasn't seen her fair share of headlines.
The 95-year-old monarch was seen having a private conversation with Camilla at COP26.
The Queen can be heard saying: "I've been hearing all about COP [but] still don't know who is coming... no idea".
You can then see and hear her explaining how she finds it very "irritating when they talk but they don't do", as they agree it is "time for doing" if we hope to "save the Earth".
