All of the Nintendo Switch 2 games so far
Nintendo Switch 2 is coming soon – and these are all the games confirmed so far.
The much-anticipated console was finally revealed by Nintendo, which features a sleek design with black controllers and splashes of colour instead of the all red and blue on the original.
Alongside the console announcement they confirmed a key date – 2 April – which will see the airing of Nintendo Direct.
“Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 will air on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, offering a closer look at Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to Nintendo Switch releasing in 2025,” Nintendo said on its website.
“The broadcast time will be announced on this website and on our social media accounts at a later date.”
The gaming brand will reveal more details about the Nintendo Switch 2 including its official release date, price and games during the event.
Rumours of titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokemon Legends: Z-A having Switch 2 versions have been swirling, but until then we have a small list of announced games for the upcoming console.
As of 21 January, 2025, it consists of the new Mario Kart sequel and eight indie games, giving us an idea of what to expect.
This includes the next Mario Kart title, which was revealed indirectly by Nintendo. A few seconds of the game were shown in the Switch 2 trailer, which featured 24 starting spaces on a new track and a redesign of Donkey Kong.
Playtonic Games’ Yooka-Replaylee is perhaps the most noticeable title slated for the Switch 2.
It’s part remaster and part reimagining that aims to be an improvement over the original Yooka-Laylee 3D platformer from 2017.

It has seen huge numbers of gamers sign up, with Shopto forced to limited pre orders to one per person to meet demand. However, there is a catch as Shopto also says pre orders are not guaranteed once the console is released.
They said: “We are excited to announce the opportunity to register your interest in the Nintendo Switch 2.

Can I still get the original Nintendo Switch?
If you’re not too bothered about the latest model and are hoping that the prices of the original Nintendo Switch and the OLED model are going to drop following the new release then that’s also a possibility.
Currently the Nintendo Switch is priced at £247, which is about £33 cheaper than its launch price, while the OLED is £270, which is just under £40 cheaper than its launch price.
