Ever eaten in any of these places?

For the first time in five years,  The Good Food Guide have announced a new ‘number one restaurant’ and that accolade goes to Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Cornwall. The two-Michelin-star restaurant was founded in 2007 and it’s only two outlets on this year’s list to be awarded a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.

In case you’re wondering what constitutes the perfect restaurant, the Guide states that “Just perfect dishes, showing faultless technique at every service; extremely rare, and the highest accolade the Guide can give.”

The list is highly regarded by chefs and restaurant-goers alike on the grounds that “he very best talent in the country; a place on the list represents a huge achievement, with each position earned by its score in The Good Food Guide, editor appraisal and strength of reader feedback.”

The Good Food Guide is compiled by combining reader feedback on restaurants up and down the country with anonymous inspections by a team of industry experts.

For the second year running, Restaurant Nathan Outlaw has secured a perfect rating but in doing so, it has knocked the L’Enclume in Cumbria from the summit.

Speaking about the win with The Guardian, Outlaw said : “The award has come due to the hard work and dedication of our team who have now been working together for a decade. It just goes to show that if you stay true to yourself, get your head down, look after your customers and use the very best ingredients available to you, you’ll make it to the top.”
