The best takeaways in every region have also been named. Ever eaten in these places?

We all love a good takeaway and if you happen to be living in the Midlands, you're in luck because the award of 'Best Takeaway in Britain' has been awarded to Lime Pickle, a family-run Indian restaurant in Birmingham. The British Takeaway Awards which are run in association with Just Eat recently took place and Lime Pickle's authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine came out on top. Lime Pickle, run by 23-year old Jay Alom was named Best Takeaway in West Midlands last year, but it went one better to scoop the most prestigious accolade in the takeaway industry. A panel of judges, which included celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott and restaurant investor and former star of Dragon’s Den Sarah Willingham, was impressed by Lime Pickle’s dedication to producing authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine and their community spirit and initiatives. The esteemed judges also revealed those restaurants and establishments that won regional awards. Here they are: Best Takeaway in East - Irmak BBQ, Dunstable Best Takeaway in East Midlands - Bombay Bites Evington Road, Leicester Best Takeaway in North East - Moja Indian Takeaway, Stockton-on-Tees Best Takeaway in North London - Joe & 'Za, London Best Takeaway in North West – Brunch, Prescot Best Takeaway in Northern Ireland - Nico's Pizza Pasta - South Belfast, Belfast Best Takeaway in Scotland - Mr Chef, Wishaw Best Takeaway in South East - Chicken & Blues, Bournemouth Best Takeaway in South London - Eastern Cuisine, London Best Takeaway in South West - Nacho Cheese, Trowbridge Best Takeaway in Wales - Wiwo Noodle Bar, Cardiff Best Takeaway in West Midlands - Lime Pickle, Birmingham Best Takeaway in Yorkshire & Humber - Pax Burger, Huddersfield BTAs judge Ainsley Harriott said: "The standard of finalists this year was incredible - but only one could win. So we looked at what they’re doing differently and how they’re supporting the local community, providing great food and service at the same time. Lime Pickle ticks all the boxes; when you hear the stories about what they’re doing for their customers and the community, it captures everything that is phenomenal about the takeaway industry.” Owner of Lime Pickle Jay Alom said: “We are absolutely blown away that Lime Pickle has won Best Takeaway in Britain. I would like to say a big thank you to the staff for their hard work day in, day out, ensuring our customers receive the best food and service possible. We couldn’t have got here without them or our loyal customers. We’re over the moon.”   Congratulations to all the winners.
