Subway turns iconic subs into Huel-style protein shakes

Meatball Marinara and the Big Breakwich will be on the 'Subwhey' menu

In a radical move by the popular restaurant chain, customers can now enjoy their favourite sandwiches in a ready-to-drink format. 

The exclusive ‘Subwhey’ range includes a blended Meatball Marinara Sub, Big Breakwich Sub and the Classic B.M.T.

The chuggable sarnies, from the unique Footlong Sub-in-a-bottle range, contain between 40-59g of protein, and of course a generous portion of fresh salad per shake. 

Whether you’re hitting the gym, juggling a hectic schedule, or just looking for a more braggable way to try to hit your macros, the range offers a bold new solution to protein gains, all while enjoying the delicious flavours of iconic Subway Footlong sandwiches that customers know and love. 

The Footlong-shake lineup includes: 

• Meatball Marinara (46g of protein): Peak Meataballic Formula. This shake delivers the hearty essence of Subway's classic Meatball Marinara Sub. 

• Big Breakwich (59g of protein): A Full English in a bottle. The breakfast of absolute legends. This shake combines streaky bacon, Lincolnshire sausage patties, American-style cheese and poached eggs. 

• Classic B.M.T.® (40g of protein): From Biggest, Meatiest, Tastiest, to Big Muscular Triceps. This shake combines pepperoni power, salami strength and delicious ham for added slam, bound to satisfy anyone’s workouts and lunches on the go.
