"The most controversial Pleesecake to date!" reads the description.
"This savoury cheesecake will make the perfect Christmas or Boxing day centre piece. With a cheddar cheese with thyme oatmeal base, a savoury cheesecake filling with pigs in blankets, fresh thyme and fresh sage. Topped with a caramelised onion chutney, crispy pigs in blankets and fresh sprigs of thyme and rosemary."
The reaction to the pigs in blankets cheesecake has been very varied on social media, with some loving the idea, and others being revolted. "This has made my day," said one Twitter user. "So should we be now expecting the four horsemen of the apocalypse?" said another, who was more sceptical. "I felt my arteries hardening just typing that sentence," was maybe the most accurate response though.A Redhill based company that normally makes amazing cakes, @pleesecakesuk has launched a "pigs in blankets cheesecake".
I felt my arteries hardening just typing that sentence. Not sure if amazing or horrifying.https://t.co/zk6HalTiyg pic.twitter.com/Cpr22wvW53 — ianVisits (@ianvisits) November 13, 2020
