Much like your choice of drink or football team, there are certain things that people just refuse to budge on. the menu from your local curry house is probably one of these things.

Given that it’s National Curry Week, the spicy debate surrounding the UK’s most popular curry has reappeared and much like the spiciest vindaloo, it’s bound to get certain people hot under the collar.

A new survey of 2,000 respondents has revealed the UK’s favourite Indian curry is the Tikka Masala – winning a large portion of the votes with 19%. Coming in close behind, the Korma takes second place with 15% of respondents voting it as their most-preferred choice of curry, followed by the Jalfrezi in third place with 8%.

Regarding the UK’s most popular rices and naan breads, here’s how the public voted.
