Since Parks and Rec ended, there has been an Aziz Ansari-shaped hole in our lives.
His confident swagger and eternal optimism as Tom Haverford made him one of the stars of Pawnee, even if he had to play second fiddle to Amy Poehler’s fantastic Leslie Knope.
So we’re delighted to see that Netflix have given the comedian his own show called ‘Master of None’. It stars Ansari as ‘a 30-year-old actor in New York who has trouble deciding what he wants to eat, much less the pathway for the rest of his life.’
Netflix have already branched out into the sitcom game with The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt earlier this year and in Aziz Ansari they have locked down one of the best young comedians around.
If this trailer is anything to go by, it’s going to be a good one.
