Doctor Strange, King Arthur and Kong: Skull Island have all released wonderful trailers

Loads to be getting excited about

Paul Moore

There’s some great films coming soon to your cinema.

Comic-Con is in full swing and while we’ve already seen the brilliant trailers for Wonder Woman, Justice League and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, there’s still so much more that you’ll be itching to see.

The first trailer for Doctor Strange perfectly captured its unique tone. We felt it was like The Matrix meets Inception, as the world was introduced to Beezlebub Crumplehorn, Bumberstump Concubine Benedict Cumberbatch’s titular character. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has rarely taken a wrong turn (we’re happy to see Brie Larson also being announced as Captain Marvel) and we’re intrigued to see what’s in store here.

What’s it about? Well, after his career is destroyed, a brilliant but arrogant surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under her wing and trains him to defend the world against evil. Take a look.

Guy Ritchie managed to breath new life into the Sherlock Holmes series and Warner Bros will be hoping that he does the same with his new take on the legend of King Arthur. Charlie Hunnam stars in the title role, as the new take on the classic Excalibur myth traces Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne.

When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

As we previously mentioned, it’s going to be a busy few months for Oscar winner Brie Larson because she’s also starring alongside Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly in the jaw-dropping Kong: Skull Island.

We’re getting a very strong Jurassic Park meets Apocalypse Now vibe from this initial footage as one of the most iconic monsters in cinematic history gets an action packed update.  Man vs nature and it’s all out war.
