VIDEO: Check out the first footage of the new Top Gear being shot

Caught playing with Mustangs by drone...

This brilliant piece of footage is the first glimpse we’ve had into the new Top Gear…and it was captured by accident.

New Top Gear presenter Rory Reid was out in the Scottish Highlands playing with Mustangs as filming began in earnest on the new series set to air in May.

Drone owner Keith Bremner spotted the stunning yellow Mustang cruising over the Kylesku Bridge and decided to give his new toy a run out.

Little did he know that it was the new Top Gear crew filming a segment on the old 1967 Mustang vs the 2016 incarnation.

He captured a stunning sequence of Reid in the American muscle car against the impressive backdrop of the Highlands.

Reid gives a thumbs up to the camera when he realises he’s been clocked on drone cam.

“They were speeding along the Kylesku Bridge in these fantastic Mustangs. It was marvelous to watch.” he told The Sun.

“I filmed the whole thing remotely from the bridge carpark. They were racing along and it was incredible.

“When Rory got out of the car he said hello, he was a lovely chap. He recognised the drone because he had one too.”

It turns out Reid had broken down in the Mustang as they were filming a final sequence. It is just the latest in a string of problems to plague the filming of the post-Clarkson era show. Is the new series really cursed?
