Terry Crews has a photo of himself in his wallet that stops him wasting money

Heck of a money saving technique.

What’s your top money saving tip?

Do you leave your cards at home during the week?

Do you take a packed lunch into work?

Do you have one of those fancy apps to track your spending?

Well it turns out Terry Crews has an altogether more straightforward way to stop himself from wasting money.

He carries a photo of himself in his wallet.

Specifically, a photo of when he played Julius in “Everybody Hates Chris”.

For those of you that remember the sitcom, Julius was based on Chris Rock’s IRL father, a man renowned for his penny pinching.

Under Julius’ watch, nothing got thrown out, nothing got wasted. The man worked two jobs and he certainly didn’t want any of his hard work to go to waste.

So Crews’ money saving technique is simple: every time he feels like being frivolous with his money, he looks at a photo of Julius and remembers to clam the fuck down.

In a cool roundabout way, it seems that Crews’ money saving technique came from a 19-year-old called Daniel who also needed help not splashing the cash.

According to BuzzFeed, Daniel came up with the idea after losing his ID.

“I was thinking, ‘What I should put there?’” he said. “And I thought I should start saving money since I don’t have a job, and who’s a better financial advisor than Terry Crews?”

He used to spend $30 on pineapples, now he’s enjoying the fruits of financial responsibility.

And it’s all thanks to Terry Crews.

Cheers mate. Lobby Netflix to stick Brooklyn 99 Season 3 up already.
