The long-awaited screen adaption of Philip Pullman's epic trilogy of fantasy novels, His Dark Materials, inches ever closer and we now have the very first trailer for the upcoming series airing on the BBC.
You'll perhaps know the series better by the individual titles of the books: Northern Lights (1995), The Subtle Knife (1997) and The Amber Spyglass (2000).
Originally announced in Novermber 2015, the series was due to air in 2017 before being pushed back, but we will now see it on our screens at some point this year.
Dafne Keen will play Lyra Belacqua, while Ruth Wilson and James McAvoy star as Marisa Coulter and Lord Asriel respectively. Lin Manuel-Miranda plays the Texan balloonist Lee Scoresby and Clarke Peters will appear as Dr. Carne.
Tom Hooper, best known for The Damned United and The King's Speech, will direct the series written by Jack Thorne.
