Spider-Man meme

It had to be done

Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield have recreated the iconic pointing Spider-Man meme to mark the announcement of No Way Home‘s home media release in March.

The trio reunited in the movie which was released last December to critical acclaim and has since become one of the highest grossing movies of all time.

Along with the return of Garfield and Maguire to the Spidey universe, the film also saw the return of Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman, Rhys Ifans’ Lizard and Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

After huge box office success, the movie will soon be coming to digital platforms, so if you haven’t managed to see it yet, your chance is coming.

It will hit digital platforms on March 22, and get a physical released on April 12.

To celebrate the announcement, there was only one thing that could be done…

The famous Spider-Man meme has its origins in the 1967 Spider-Man animated series, Screen Rant reports. In one episode, an actor-turned-criminal attempts to hide his identity by impersonating the webslinger but ends up being confronted by Spidey himself.

In recent years, it has become quite simply iconic.

For obvious reasons, Maguire and Garfield were kept out of the marketing and promo for No Way Home before its release – but now that the cat is out the bag about their appearances, an official recreation of the meme can be revealed to the world.
