This side-by-side comparison of the original IT with the remake is a terrifying joy

Paul Moore

“They all float down here.”

Having been enthralled and terrified by the new trailer for Stephen King’s It, we instantly went back to catch up with the horrific adventures of the original Losers Club from the 1990 mini-series.

Hands up if you’re still haunted by the scene where the blood spews up from the bathroom sink and splashes all over Beverly’s face? What about that moment when Ben thinks he sees his father down by the river, only to have a skeleton crawl up and grab his leg?

All this without mentioning the most iconic and memorable scene. You know what we’re talking about.

Poor Georgie, he really shouldn’t have been out in the rain with that paper boat.

FYI, if a creep-ass clown offers you a balloon, you say no. Well, unless it’s a really good balloon.

Here’s how both versions of Stephen King’s IT compare.
