This is new Top Gear presenter Rory Reid in action in brilliant showreel (Video)

If you don't know him, watch this...

Petrolheads have been waiting with baited breath to see who’s on the new Top Gear team.

(Well, the ones that haven’t boycotted the shows after the BBC parted ways with Jeremy Clarkson anyway).

Chris Evans tweeted a photo of the new presenting team, which includes Matt Le Blanc, Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris, Eddie Jordan, Rory Reid – and The Stig.

Everyone already know radio presenter Evans, former F1 boss Jordan and that bloke who was on Friends.

But unless you’re a proper car cognoscente, some of the other names might have gone over your head.

One name in the pack is Rory Reid – he was the only one of the new-look team that made it through the open auditions.

Motoring journalist Reid, who has appeared on Sky 1’s Gadget Geeks, is a presenter on YouTube channel Fast, Furious & Funny.

“To be the only person to make it through the open audition process makes me immensely proud,” he says.

“I’ve been a Top Gear fan for decades, but more than that, I live and breathe cars in a way that is perfectly compatible with the show.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my brand of knowledge, energy and humour to what promises to be a very exciting new series.”

That’s all well and good – but if you want to know what’s in store from Reid when Top Gear airs in May, then check out this brilliant showreel video…
