The Grand Tour is coming to Britain and there’s a way you can be on it

Clarkson, Hammond and May are coming home...

We’re not sure if you’ve heard about Jeremy Clarkson’s new show…

If you’ve been out of the loop, Clarkson and Messrs James May and Richard Hammond are reuniting on a little thing called The Grand Tour.

The low key show is about middle aged men and cars – it’s so low key that they’re only showing it on the internet on something called Amazon Prime. They’ve even had to make do with a tiny £160m budget to cobble it together.

They tried to explain what it’s all about in this video…

As the name ‘The Grand Tour’ suggests, the former Top Gear trio are going to be doing the rounds and visiting different locations.

Clarkson, Hammond and May have remained tight-lipped about where they will be heading on this tour, which will be filmed in a humble tent studio.

But we do know it kicks off in California and also heads to South Africa at some point during the 12-part series, which goes live on November 18.

And we now also know that the three blokes are finally coming back to film on home soil in good old Britain. They’ve already some some scenes in the picturesque Yorkshire seaside town of Whitby for the series.

But now they’re set to pitch their big tent up in Scotland alongside Loch Ness for two days of live filming, according to The List.

They film the tent stuff live in front of a TV audience, so obviously they’re going to want a TV audience.

So producers are calling on anyone who might want to be part of the new Amazon show to sign up for the chance to be in the crowd. However you’ve got until midnight on Friday to apply for a spot, which you can do here.

‘We can’t wait to bring The Grand Tour tent back to the UK,’ said Jay Marine, VP of Amazon Video Europe.

‘The guys had a great time filming in Whitby last month and we’re excited to bring the tent to Scotland.

‘Demand for tickets to all recordings has been phenomenal with applications coming in from around the globe, so get in quick for an opportunity to join Jeremy, James and Richard at this monster location.’
