Sylvester Stallone completes Creed 2 script, confirms return of beloved Rocky character

Stallone shared a picture of his handwritten script, containing some very interesting clues

Creed was one of the best movies of 2015, and thank heavens.

It was amazing to think that there was any life left in the Rocky franchise, but it was a delight to see that Creed was a powerful, intelligent and extremely accomplished addition to the canon.

We should have known, really. With Michael B. Jordan starring as Adonis Creed and Ryan Coogler behind the camera, it was never going to be bad.

Fans now have further reason to rejoice, as Sylvester Stallone has completed work on the script for Creed 2.

Stallone shared a post on Instagram featuring a picture of his handwritten script, which he said would turn into a 120-page screenplay when typed, which will make the movie about two hours long, if that’s interesting to you.

We don’t have a set date for release yet, nor do we have an official title, but Stallone’s Instagram post seems to confirm the return of a firm Rocky favourite: Ivan Drago.

Rocky fans know how significant this is, given the events of Rocky IV, and will no doubt make for some terrifically tense drama. There’s no confirmation that Dolph Lundgren will return as Drago, since there’s not even a typed script, let alone a cast, but let’s keep our fingers crossed.
