Stan Lee is being sued for causing causing emotional distress to his former assistant.

The 92-year-old is accused of insulting and threatening Shawn Lukaszewicz before wrongfully dismissing him.

After initially being ‘enthusiastic and excited about his opportunity to work with the legendary Stan Lee’, Lukaszewicz claims he was berated following his running of a booth at the ComiKaze convention.

According to The Courthouse News Service, Lee described the booth as “s**t” and “f**king embarrassing”.

Lukaszewicz – who is seeking damages for emotional distress – also claims that the Marvel legend refused to pay him for overtime despite agreeing that he would work 40 hours a week.

When Lukaszewicz confronted the Spider-Man creator, he was ‘constantly reminded how lucky he was to work for the most powerful people in the industry and he, therefore, should suck it up and be thankful for the abuse.’
