The wait for Severance season 3 may be nearly over

Fans of Severance might not have to wait quite as long as expected for the show’s return, with season three now being filmed and one of its stars hinting that it could arrive sometime next year.

Tramell Tillman, who plays the unsettling Lumon manager Mr Milchick, spoke about the new season in an interview with ScreenRant, revealing that he is hopeful viewers will be watching the next chapter in 2027.

There had been some concern that production could be complicated by Ben Stiller's other commitments, particularly his work on a separate World War II film. However, Tillman made it clear that Stiller is still very much involved, stressing that the series simply could not continue without him.

As for what the new episodes will actually contain, Tillman is staying firmly silent.

"I've been holding Severance secrets since 2019. Can you believe it? It's 2026."

Severance fans still have one big question

The Apple TV+ thriller first premiered in 2022 and centres on employees whose memories are split between their lives inside and outside the workplace. The show's popularity exploded further when its second season arrived in 2025, with the series now having picked up 10 Primetime Emmy Awards.

Production on season three began at the end of July, although there is still no official release date.

That means viewers are left waiting to find out exactly when the story will continue after the huge cliffhanger that ended season two.
