Rose Plays Julie, the excellent 2019 Irish thriller drama movie, is available to stream on Prime Video.
Written and directed by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (Baltimore, Kin), the film centres on a university student named Rose (Ann Skelly, The Nevers) who was adopted as a young child and is now seeking out her biological parents.
However, after tracking down her birth mother (Orla Brady, Star Trek: Picard), Rose discovers disturbing information relating to her biological father (Aidan Gillen, Kin).
Holding an impressive 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes – Rose Plays Julie’s darkly compelling story, incredible performances and dread-inducing atmosphere should be seen by a wider audience.
