Robin Williams’ most inspirational movie scenes

JOE

Three years have gone by since Robin Williams’ tragic passing, and yet his presence seems as ubiquitous as ever.

The comic actor was loved and adored the world over for his manic humour and gregarious nature, but as with so many comedy greats, the buoyant exterior that brought so much joy to so many people hid a deep-lying sadness. There was always a melancholy behind the mirth.

Perhaps it was this aspect of a deeply emotional and sensitive man that imbued so many of his acting roles with a moving pathos. No matter how slapstick or silly the character, Williams was able to portray a depth and poignancy that eludes so many others.

Here’s an unashamedly sentimental look at some of his most inspirational movie moments…

Good Will Hunting (1998) – “Your move, chief…”
