Liam Cunningham feels that Game of Thrones should end 'sooner rather than later.'
The Irish actor, who plays Ser Davos in the massively popular HBO drama, believes that the show needs to go out in a blaze of glory, despite the fact that the bean counters would undoubtedly make 50 more series if they were allowed.
"If you ask HBO accountants, they'd like another 50 seasons! But it's not going to go on much longer," Cunningham told Digital Spy.
"It will be appalling when it ends, but it's right [to end it]."
Somebody who agrees is Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark. She does not think the show should be dragged out for the sake of it.
"From the start they've always known there's going to be an end. At the beginning we didn't allow ourselves to get too excited and then it was really successful and we started to believe we could tell this whole story. They always set out knowing where the end was," Williams said.
"I think people need to know when to stop. Sometimes people do things to death. If you were to get greedy and do more and more, you would never have the series that we have at the moment.
"It's so easy to just get excited and not want [it] to end. It's been our lives for so long, but I'm really glad that everyone has made the decision to end the story."
The sixth series of Game of Thrones begins on Sky Atlantic on 24 April.
