Leonardo DiCaprio cast as Frank Sinatra in new Martin Scorsese film

The 49-year-old is set to star alongside Jennifer Lawrence, who will play the crooner's wife Ava Gardener.

The pair have previously worked together on Don't Look Up.

DiCaprio and Scorsese, however, have worked together multiple times. The duo are one of the most prolific actor-director pairings working today, with projects such as Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, and The Wolf of Wall Street under their belts.

Their latest film, Killers of the Flower Moon, was nominated for 10 Academy Awards, including a nod for Best Director for Scorsese.

News of a Frank Sinatra biopic is one that fans are welcoming, and they have responded to the news of DiCaprio's casting online.
