Kendrick Lamar says that his work should be compared with the most important names in the history of music.

The 28-year-old rapper told NME: "I wanted this record to be talked about the same was Bob Dylan or The Beatles or Jimi Hendrix are talked about. While his latest album 'To Pimp A Butterfly' has received widespread critical acclaim, not everybody agrees about its legacy. Paul McCartney recently said that he does not believe that anyone will ever compare to the Beatles.
