Ted Lasso star Juno Temple has revealed that she has married her long-term partner Michal Szymanski, after the couple’s relationship began in a rather unexpected way on the set of the hit Apple TV+ series.
Temple shared the news during an appearance on TFI Unplugged with Chris Evans, where she was joined by her co-stars Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Brendan Hunt while promoting the latest season of Ted Lasso.
The announcement came shortly after the first episode of the new season was released.
The actress explained that she and Szymanski first met during season two of the show, when he was working as Waddingham’s driver.
According to Waddingham, Temple asked if she could help set them up, leading the pair to create a plan to give them a chance to spend time together.
Temple recalled: “He was driving Hannah and they had a secret code where I could go and meet them and accidentally Hannah's appointment would run over.”
Waddingham, who clearly approved of the romance from the beginning, joked that she had warned Szymanski to look after her friend.
“Look after my girl or I will punch you square in the face,” she said, before adding that the couple are “the greatest oxygen to each other in the universe.”
Temple and Szymanski later confirmed their relationship publicly in 2022 when they attended the Top Gun: Maverick premiere together.
Since then, they have continued to appear at events as a couple, including the 2024 Critics Choice Awards and the premiere of Venom: The Last Dance, which starred Temple.
