John Terry and Frank Lampard's romantic Play to the Whistle staring competition was TV gold
Play to the Whistle, the ITV comedy panel show that hangs loosely on a sports theme, made a return on Tuesday night.
Hosted by Holly Willoughby, Frank Lampard returned to the show as one of the team captains and was pitted against his former Chelsea teammate and friend, John Terry.
Throughout their time together at Stamford Bridge, the close friendship that Terry and Lampard shared was there for all to see. That said, imagining them staring longingly into each other's eyes while Another Level's Freak Me played in the background might have been a bit of a stretch.
Luckily for us, we no longer have to imagine such a thing...
Part of the show saw the pair take part in a staring competition, set to the soundtrackย of several romantic songs.

As well as leaving both Terry and Lampard with smiled on their faces, the stare down also went down well with viewers, too.
Never thought I'd live long enough to see lampard and Terry in a staring competition ๐
