As summer approaches, the world of film is beginning to crack out its summer blockbusters.

This week has seen the release of FIVE trailers to whet our appetites for 2016  releases, including the return of Matt Damon as super spy Jason Bourne.

Here’s a quick glimpse of some films to stick in your calendar…

Jason Bourne

Matt Damon is back in the action role that changed spy films forever, as Jason Bourne returns for another cross country adventure that’s sure to be packed full of tense fights and huge government conspiracies. With Bourne Identity director Paul Greengrass back on directing duties, Jason Bourne is sure to be a return to form for the franchise.

Jason Bourne is released June 27 2016.

Girl on a Train

That book you picked up from WhSmiths is getting the movie treatment this year, with Emily Blunt getting dragged into a very murky murder case. Fans of Gone Girl are sure to love this.

Girl on a Train is released October 7 2016.

Warcraft

Look at all those cool creatures. Based on the popular videogame franchise, Warcraft sees Duncan Jones (son of David Bowie) take us to the land of Azeroth as human and orcs must join forces to save the world from an even greater threat.

Warcraft is released June 10 2016.

The Infiltrator

Breaking Bad fans may be crying out for a Walter White cameo in “Better Call Saul”, but it appears Bryan Cranston has moved on to bigger things in Hollywood. Based on a true story, Cranston will play an FBI agent going into deep cover in an effort to put a stop to Escobar drug cartel dealings in 1980s America.

The Infiltrator is released June 10 2016.

The Magnificent Seven

Western classic The Magnificent Seven is getting the remake treatment, courtesy of The Training Day director Antoine Fuqua. Boasting an all-star cast, including Jamie Foxx, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke, it’s promising to go all out to live up to its predecessors lineage.

The Magnificent Seven is expected sometime this autumn.
