Game of Thrones is still a long way from returning to our screens *shakes fist angrily at nothing in particular* and we’ve transcended withdrawals and we’re just forced to sit in sullen silence until the our favourite show returns to our screens.

But, we can feed on the rumours and reports that are emerging about the next season.

This one in particular has gotten us all riled up, as we’ve heard whisperings that there will be a battle in the next season which will dwarf the epic battle which occurred in the penultimate episode, ‘The Battle of the Bastards’.

According to Game of Thrones fan site, Watchers on the Wall, HBO have put out a massive call for extras at the show’s filming location in Spain. It is reported that they’re looking for as many as 450 extras to take part.

The initial call went out and upwards of 8,000 people applied for the roles, which will be narrowed down to the required amount. Tattoos and modern hairstyles were forbidden in the call out and some extras were asked if they’d be willing to shave their heads and their beards according to the report.

A large number of horses are also being sought at the same location which would indicate a scene involving the Dothraki or at least a large mounted force only capable of being put together by a large army.

Season 7 just got even more interesting…
