Isle of Wight Festival in pictures

Fans flocked to the main stage to pay tribute to Jimi Hendrix, who played his last British gig at the Isle of Wight Festival back in 1970... Promoter John Giddings was given permission and the blessing of the Jimi Hendrix Estate to have his image made into masks and sold to revellers for £1 each, with all proceeds going to children's charity Well Child. We're told £5,000 has been raised - and counting...
