A huge Coronation Street fan favourite is set for a ‘bombshell’ comeback

The scenes are going to be explosive.

Coronation Street’s Nick Tilsley is set to make a “bombshell” return to Weatherfield this year.

The character, played by Ben Price, seemingly exited the cobbles for good last year when he drove off into the sunset last year after a near-death quicksand experience.

But, according to The Sun, he will be lured back to the street later this year.

A source told the publication that while the exact details of his return haven’t been decided, it’s definitely going to stir up some drama.

They said:

“Exactly how Nick will be brought back into the fray is still to be decided.

“But the Platts, and in particular Nick, are a massive part of the Corrie family and always at the heart of some of the show’s biggest storylines.

“Producers are currently coming up with a bombshell way for him to come back to Weatherfield.”

It comes as Pat Phelan’s next victim is said to have been revealed after the killer, who is thought to have been killed, returns to Weatherfield.

Michelle Connor, played by Kym Marsh, is reportedly set to become the serial killer’s fifth victim on the cobbles after Phelan crashes her wedding.

And the scenes are said to be so dramatic – and gruesome – that they will be aired after the watershed.

A source told The Sun: “The scenes were shot last week and are more like a horror film than a soap.

“Phelan will come back to Weatherfield and crash Michelle and Robert’s wedding day. In all the carnage, she will end up being shot with Robert trying desperately to save her life before she bleeds out.

“Inevitably, the other guests will be involved in the madness too in the aftermath of him shooting her.

“The scenes are so gruesome ITV bosses have decided to play them after 9pm so they don’t fall foul of any rules.”
