HBO to launch new Board Game of Thrones

It has been said that when you play the Game of Thrones you win or die - thankfully the newest board game based on the hit TV show won't be quite as extreme.

The continents and kingdoms in Game of Thrones seem perfectly suited to the board game Risk, so much so that we're almost surprised no one has combined the two until now. Broadcaster HBO has teamed up with USAopoly to launch the new Game of Thrones Risk, under licence from Hasbro. It can be played by up to seven players, in keeping with the seven Noble House armies, and offers several different ways to play. The game is due to be released in August.
