The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expanding their creative ventures.

Harry and Meghan will act as executive producers on two new Netflix documentary series exploring the themes of lifestyle and polo.

The shows will be made by the couple’s Archewell Productions company.

The Duke will apparently lead the polo series, which will centre around the US Open Polo Championship which is held annually in Florida.

The other series will allow the Duchess to delve into “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship.”

This isn’t the first time Sussexes have produced a project with the streaming company.

Harry & Meghan, released in 2022, opened the curtain on the couple’s private lives and their trouble with the royal family.

Heart of Invictus, which aired last August, followed a group of service members on their road to the Invictus Games, the Paralympic-style sporting competition set up by Harry in 2014 for injured and sick military personnel and veterans.

They were also behind 2022 series Live To Lead, which featured longform interviews with world leaders such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Greta Thunberg and Jacinda Ardern.

The two new projects are currently in the early stages of production, and titles and release dates will likely be confirmed later this year.

A statement on Netflix regarding the polo series read: “Known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene, the series will pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport, capturing players and all it takes to compete at the highest level.”

Archewell Productions was formed by the couple in 2020. A mission statement published on the homepage of the website reads: “We believe that stories have the power to unite and inspire audiences around the globe.

“Our company is dedicated to illuminating thought-provoking and diverse narratives that underscore our common humanity and celebrate community – through scripted and non-scripted TV, film, documentaries, and podcasting.”

Meghan had a pretty impressive acting career before she married into the royal family.

Having grown up on the set of the 80s sitcom Married With Children, where her dad, Thomas Markle, worked as a lighting director and director of photography, a young Meghan quickly caught the acting bug.

She appeared in Fox’s series Fringe as Junior Agent Amy Jessup in the first two episodes of its second season. She also appeared in small roles in the films Get Him to the Greek, Remember Me (produced by her then-partner Trevor Engelson) and The Candidate in 2010 and the film Horrible Bosses in 2011.

Her most notable role was playing Rachel Zane on Suits from 2011 to 2018.
