The Great British Bake Off is returning for one final BBC adventure

We all quietly shed a tear at The Great British Bake Off finale on Wednesday night.

With the show about to jump ship to Channel 4, this week's final was more than a final - it was an end of an era. Mel, Sue and Mary were meant to be saying farewell to Bake Off. Yes, this Thursday the BBC confirmed that we should "Deck the tent with bakes of holly", as Mary, Paul, Mel and Sue are reuniting for one more adventure, taking some of Bake Off's finest for a Christmas bake. One of the best shows on television, during at the best time of year, when we're all indulging in treats.
